Why do we need BRCGS Consumer Products?
The standard was revised in 2016. It focuses on the need for the diversity of products included within Consumer Products. This makes it easier to implement for a wider range of products. In order to do this, BRCGS divided the standard into two versions:
Global Standard for Consumer Products – General Merchandise
Global Standard for Consumer Products – Personal Care and Household
Both of the standards can be certified at either Foundation Level or Higher Level. Of course we want you to achieve the highest grade possible however we cannot guarantee the Higher Level. Having certification to this Standard is mandatory when tendering for public sector or work with tier 1 organisations.
